EcoBean is a Polish cleantech startup that transforms spent coffee grounds into high-value bio-based ingredients and sustainable chemicals, supporting circular economy solutions and reducing the environmental impact of the coffee value chain. The pilot introduced circular economy principles in the HoReCa sector through a structured system for collecting and valorizing spent coffee grounds. Coffee waste was separated at source, collected, and converted into sustainable, value-added ingredients for industries such as beauty, food, and materials. It also validated the operational feasibility of the collection and logistics model, assessed carbon footprint reduction compared to conventional waste disposal, and demonstrated the potential to turn hospitality waste streams into scalable, revenue-generating resources aligned with sustainability goals.

Automaise is a Portuguese artificial intelligence company offering a suite of AI-based products that enhance customer service and decision-making processes, delivering seamless customer interactions and confident, data-driven decisions for businesses. The pilot used historical data to develop and train AI models to more accurately predict competitors’ prices, supporting the optimization of PRIO’s pricing strategy. The objectives were to improve forecast accuracy, enable data-driven pricing decisions, and define the data requirements for a medium-term rollout, including seasonal patterns and high-traffic, one-off events. Following the pilot, Automaise became a PRIO supplier and has remained a strategic partner to this day.

It is an all-in-one, data-driven, AI-powered store management solution that enables teams to operate at their highest level while staying aligned with a brand’s values, ambitions, and unique DNA. The pilot involved implementing a data-driven, automated task management tool to strengthen communication between headquarters and store teams and streamline daily operations. The solution centralized task assignment, tracking, and reporting, ensuring that priorities defined at headquarters were consistently communicated and executed at store level. The pilot aimed to reduce time spent on administrative coordination, improve execution standards across locations, and drive measurable gains in store performance and managerial effectiveness.
